I’ve always had the mentality that SEO is just a set of guidelines for achieving the most important goal of any website:
BE USEFUL.
Google wants helpful content that gets lots of engagement. Content that’s SO useful, other sites link to it!
It’s really that simple.
Over my 12+ year career in SEO and marketing, I’ve worn a number of hats. I started off teaching myself how to code a basic website using HTML and CSS in 3 months, just so I could get a shot at a low-paying job in the marketing department of the name tag production e-commerce website I worked for (I started in customer service).
After learning how to build websites from scratch, I started learning more about how to get customers to come to the websites – and there, I found opportunity after opportunity.
Seeing how it all comes together and being able to do many things in many digital marketing disciplines helps me be a very effective SEO specialist. I understand many details and functionalities, and give solid, practical advice based on your specific needs and existing setup.
